Based on CROS research (Boren & Veksler, 2015;Veksler & Boren, 2017) and investigations of communication in the Church (e.g., Dixon, 2004;Hoffman, 2002;Horan et al, 2014;Lamoureux, 1994;Sigler, 2017), we hypothesized that priests and sisters with aggressive superiors would internalize the stress caused by the superiors and Church structures, resulting in decreased satisfaction, motivation, and commitment, and lower perceptions of superior credibility.
