Primary health care, the basis of the health system

Abstract

Health System is one of the complicated subsystems, which has developed slowly over the centuries contribution to human populations, beliefs, customs, science, commercial factors, social forces, usually without studies and system planning. With the general social development, industrialization, urbanization and technological progress, strengthen and develop the health system and the role and importance in the general social development. In order to actually create such a system, all the parts have to work together and successively adapted to one another. This can be done by a constant correlation, shared responsibility, completing the division of tasks. Guided by a modern approach to the organization of primary health care, but also relying on tradition, health policy objectives of primary health care in Serbia are defined by numerous documents. Their main point is improving this area, applying the principles of modern work organization, as well as the needs and demands of citizens for quality services provided at the primary level. Wearing a pivot primary health care reform is the implementation of the "chosen doctor" in which he intended user registration at a certain doctor, in order to ensure and promote the continuity and quality of care.
