Primary leiomyosarcoma or leiomyoma of the public bone?

Abstract: We report a case of what appeared to be a primary leiomyosarcoma of the left pubic bone of a female aged 23 years. Forty-eight cases of the tumour have been recorded in the literature since 1944, only two of which were in the pelvis. The tumour in our patient was treated by curettage and there was no recurrence in the following 3 years.
