“…The production of pectic enzymes by Bvssochfamys has been examined by a number of workers (Reid 1952;Yates & Mooney 1968;Chu & Chang 1973). All of the eight isolates of B. fufua examined by Chu & Chang (1973) were shown to produce PG; four produced PE and four pectin lyase (misleadingly referred to as pectate lyase by these authors although pectin was used as substrate for the uv assay).…”
