Project-Based E-Learning and Its Impact on Students’ Academic Achievement in Curriculum Development Lectures

Abstract: In recent years, using technology is very important in learning activities, so everyone must be able to use technology wisely. This study describes the potential impact of project-based e-learning on the academic achievement of fourth-semester students in curriculum development courses. This type of research is quantitative, using an experimental research design. The methods used to collect data are observation and tests. The instruments used in collecting data are observation sheets and test questions. The re… Show more

“…These outcomes encompass various topics such as Computer Hardware Identification and Installation, BIOS Computer Network Media Installation, IP address management, Subnetting, Supernetting, Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM), and Static Routing. The formulation of learning outcomes adheres to the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and is divided into two components: hard skills and soft skills (Agung et al, 2022;Ekayana et al, 2021). Hard skills focus on students' abilities to construct computer networks, engage in continuous network management, and master the fundamental principles of computer network systems, particularly in developing local network-based systems.…”

“…Apart from that, the learning E-Module was developed using a Project Based Learning approach. The Project Based Learning learning model has characteristics that make students become facilitators, and provides problems in the form of projects that students must complete (Agung et al, 2022;Sukmara, 2021;Wijayanti et al, 2020). This certainly has an impact on students' increasing understanding.…”

“…Project Based Learning is a learning model that actively involves students in designing learning objectives to produce real products or projects (Laili et al, 2019;Rati et al, 2017;Yamin et al, 2020). Using the Project Based Learning model allows students to create products with their own work (Agung et al, 2022;Rusmini et al, 2021). Project Based Learning can increase creativity and critical thinking (Agung et al, 2022;Rusmini et al, 2021;Sumarmi et al, 2021;Sumarni & Kadarwati, 2020).…”

“…For initial reasons, it is a widely employed strategy in our sector of expertise, education. Second, the experimental study design is especially beneficial when time restrictions make it impossible to establish cause-and-effect correlations using other research methodologies (Agung et al, 2022). We were able to change the independent variables and see the influence on the dependent variables over a certain time period by employing this design.…”
