Promising Areas for Producing Bitumen-like Materials Based on Synthetic Polymers Waste

Abstract: The method of cracking secondary synthetic polymers is considered, involving them into the production system as raw materials for producing bitumen-like materials, using this example as the most multi-tonnage ones – secondary plastics and used tires. Under conditions of high pressures and temperatures in an extrusion-type reactor, the formation of bitumen-like products for using in non- energy industries from synthetic polymer wastes is shown.

“…Alkali and alkaline earth metal ions balance the negatively charged Al 3+ ion in quadruple coordination. Geopolymer materials can be obtained both on the basis of natural raw materials (igneous rocks, methakaolinite) and on the basis of man-made waste (metallurgical slags, waste from glass production, waste from aluminum and steel production) [14][15][16].…”

“…The AS waste sites cause air and water pollution and damage landscapes, which has an essential adverse impact on the environment in adjacent areas. The composition of AS mainly includes oxides of silicon, aluminum, iron, alkali and alkali-earth metals, which makes this kind of waste a valuable source of minerals for production of silicate materials for the road and civil construction [3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11].…”
