Prospects of potato selection for the improvement of nutritional value of tubers

Abstract: Successful selection of potatoes in order to increase the nutritional value of potato tubers is limited by the duration of the selection of effective seed parents for hybridization and the need to use express methods for mass assessment of genotypes, according to the biochemical composition of tubers, especially in terms of content and ratio of starch components.
