“…In this research, the protection of DNA against UVA, UVB, and solar radiation by POE 0 s UV-filter action has been shown. These results, together with previous investigation in different biomodels and experimental designs, (16)(17)(18) patent the multifunction achievement of P. orbicularis as DNA photoprotector. This extract is a wide font of phytocompounds capable of protecting DNA against UV artificial and solar radiation by different modes of action.…”

“…In plasmidic DNA, similar physical mechanism and ROS scavenger action are proposed in pBluescript SK II exposed to UVB and UVC light . Against UVB radiation in human cell model, the bioantimutagenic action of POE is through the NER modulation . In this work, we have demonstrated the protective properties of the extract only because of its physical properties.…”

“…Cell apoptosis is an initiative cell death under gene regulation and can regulate the balance of cell proliferation in life process [33]. In general, apoptotic cells have obvious morphological changes in nucleus and cytoplasm, including bubbling of cell membrane, degradation of cell nuclei with widespread damage of chromatin, and fragments of DNA caused by Ca 2+ dependent endonuclease [34].…”

“…ed to the extract ability to modulate the NER system [7] One important approach to identify compounds responsible for the observed protective effect can be reached through the study of chemical fractions obtained from the plant extract.…”
