Provisioning of heterogeneous network devices: a meta-data-driven approach

Abstract: This paper presents an intelligent gateway architecture, IP-CLIX, that shields device and interface heterogeneity from network provisioning tools. A salient feature of IP-CLIX is its meta-data-driven approach, which facilitates incremental support of various interfaces and services, and enables rapid deployment of mediation modules for additional CLI types.
