“…This finding indicates the ability of FSFI to capture variation in our data and is consistent with the study by Wylomanski et al (2014) who did not find a floor effect in a study of French women seeking gynaecology consultation, although two items (items 9 and 10) had a ceiling effect. It appears that data variability was evident in our study; however, the issue of possible ceiling effects of the FSFI is worth further investigation.…”

“…Of these, the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) is widely used in research (Rosen, 2002;DeRogatis, 2008) and has been translated into many different languages (Berne et al, 2004;Rellini et al, 2005;Pechorro et al, 2012;Wylomanski et al, 2014). The FSFI was originally developed in the USA to assess six domains of FSD, including desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain.…”

“…The total score ranges between 2 and 36; higher scores are associated with a lower degree of female sexual dysfunction (FSD). A consensus seems to be found in the literature for values of less than 23 to de ne FSD [37,39]. A good reliability has been described for the French version with intraclass correlation coe cients superior to 0.75 and Cronbach's coe cients superior to 0.8 similarly to the original English version.…”

“…The impact of perineal pain on female sexuality will be assessed by the French validated version of the FSFI [37,38] using an online questionnaire at D7, M3 and M6. This 19-items questionnaire is adapted for both sexually active and non-active women, and allows the assessment of the different parts of sexual function (desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction and pain) over the past four weeks.…”
