“…On the basis of the evidence it seemed reasonable to consider that Mindfulness in the treatment of OCD should be a therapist guided and not a purely client led technique. This requires therapists to have a good knowledge of evidence informed treatments for OCD, knowledge and personal experience of Mindfulness which is supported by the literature (Segal, Williams, and Teasdale, 2013, MAMIG, 2006, Potter and Coyle, 2017) 61,50,57 . There is a good justification therefore for more standardised outcome based research and more detailed investigations into what Mindfulness may be contributing to the treatment of OCD.…”

Many therapists are already using Mindfulness to treat a variety of difficulties and evaluating their practice (Potter and Coyle, 2017) 57 .
