Subject. This article considers households as subjects of economic relations.
Objectives. The article aims to assess the contribution of households to the formation of the gross regional product.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical, comparative, statistical, and correlation and regression analyses.
Results. The article finds that households have a significant impact on the value of the gross regional product, and it reveals a close relationship between indicators reflecting the economic activity of households.
Conclusions. Improving the quality of life of the population is one of the main tasks of public authorities, since the functioning of households as subjects of economic relations has a direct impact on the development of the region.
