“…Compounds 6, 10 and 13 exhibited [M−H] − ion at m/z 269, 269 and 297, respectively. By comparing the elution order and UV spectra with that reported in literatures, these compounds were characterized as 3 -hydroxyl daidzein (6), genistein (10) and 5,7-dihydroxy-3 ,4 -methylenedioxyisoflavone (13), respectively, which are corroborated by the earlier reports [29,36,37]. It is the first time that compounds 4, 6, 9, 11 and 13 were identified in Puerariae lobata flower extracts.…”

“…Many methods reported in literature for the analysis of soy isoflavones are based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) [7][8][9][10] and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).…”
Recebido em 4/5/07; aceito em 1/7/08; publicado na web em 5/11/08 This paper describes the development and validation of an UV-Visible spectrophotometric method for quantitation of genistein and genistin in soy dry extracts, after reaction with aluminum chloride. The method showed to be linear (r 2 = 0.9999), precise (R.S.D. < 2%), accurate (recovery of 101.56%) and robust. Seven samples of soy dry extracts were analyzed by the spectrophotometric validated method and by RP-HPLC. Genistein concentrations determined by spectrophotometry (0.63% -16.05%) were slightly higher than values obtained by HPLC analysis (0.40% -12.79%); however, the results of both methods showed a strong correlation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
