Racemic trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane as a template in the synthesis of ligands for transition metal and actinide in vivo detoxification

Abstract: Trans 1,2-diamino cyclohexane was used as a template for building EDTA-like derivatives that can act as strong complexation agents in vivo. Cyclohexane diamino tetraphosphonate (CDTP) and diamino diphosphonate (CDDP) ligands were synthetized with the aim to decorporate living organisms for heavy atoms or actinides following accidental ingestion.
