“…Complex 2 was characterized by NMR spectroscopy ( 1 H, 13 C{ 1 H} and 31 P{ 1 H}), elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (Figure 1), confirming that 2 is an alkylidene-bridged scandium-copper heterobimetallic complex.I n2,t he CuÀCb ond length is 1.947(9) ,w hich is close to those in the copperb is(iminophosphorano)methanediide [Cu 6 {C(PPh 2 NSiMe 3 ) 2 }I 2 ]( 1.983(4) and 1.989 (4) ). [10] The ScÀCb ond length (2.248(9) )i n2 is significantly longer than that in the parent complex 1 (2.125(2) ), [7h] whereas the ScÀS bond lengths in these two complexes are similar,2 .582(3) in 2 and 2.552(1) in 1.T he distance between the Sc III and Cu I ions is 3.004(2) ,w hich is close to the sum of their covalent radii (i.e.,3 .02 ,c onsidering the covalentr adii of Sc as 1.70 and the one of Cu as 1.32 ). [11] By using as imilarp rocedure, the scandium-silver heterobimetallic complex 3 was obtained in 60 %y ield from ar eaction of 1 with AgI.…”
