Rare recurrent solitary plexiform neurofibroma of the dorsum of the finger: A case report

Abstract: Background: Plexiform neurofibroma (PN) is a subtype of neurofibroma that is rather uncommon in the clinic. Plexiform neurofibroma is usually associated with neurofibromatosis type I (NF1). Only very few patients have isolated PN, which means they have neither NF1 signs nor relevant family history. Solitary PN is extremely rare.
