“…Different research results were obtained by Malhi et al 5 and Nadian et al 24 , who did not show a significant effect of boron fertilization on the value of this trait. A similar tendency was noted by Jarecki and Bobrecka-Jamro 25 after the application of foliar preparations: Basfoliar 36 Extra, Basfoliar 12 – 4 − 6 + S, Solubor DF, Adob Mn and the mixtures: Basfoliar 36 Extra with Solubor DF, Basfoliar 12 − 4 − 6 + S with Solubor DF, while Kwiatkowski 26 after autumn spraying: 100% and 75% NPK and urea + nickel chelate + MgSO 4 H 2 O; 100% and 75% NPK and urea + Plonvit R + MgSO 4 H 2 O and Jankowski et al 27 after the autumn micro and macro-element feeding.…”

“…The effect of foliar preparations on seed yield has been presented in studies by many authors. Jarecki and Bobrecka-Jamro (2008) found the best results after feeding plants with Basfoliar 36 Ex plus Solubor DF or with Basfoliar 12-4-6+S plus Solubor DF, with the seed yield increased by an average of 14.1% after their application. Kaur et al (2019) and Pużyńska et al (2018) also noted an increase in seed yield after the application of foliar fertilizers containing sulphur, nitrogen and phosphorus as well as after those containing sulphur and boron.…”

“…The largest increase in the thousand seed weight, by an average of 3.4% compared to the control variant was found on plots with foliar application of sulphur, boron and the biostimulant with amino acids (treatment 4). Jarecki and Bobrecka-Jamro (2008) showed that under the influence of Basfoliar 12-4-6+S with Solubor DF the difference in thousand seeds weight compared to the control was over 1 g (i.e. 24%).…”

“…Jankowski et al [31] after using a boron-containing foliar preparation, found a significant increase in the content of crude fat only after its two applications in the BBCH50 and BBCH55 phases. Jarecki and Bobrecka-Jamro [25,26] did not prove the effect of foliar preparations containing micro-and macro-elements on the value of this feature.…”

“…Different results were obtained by Gugała et al [25], who did not find a significant effect of the biostimulators Tytanit, Asahi SL or Silvit for the value of this feature. Similarly, Jarecki and Bobrecka-Jamro [26,27], Kozak et al [28] and Matysiak et al [29,30] did not prove the effect of bioregulators and foliar fertilizers containing micro-and macro-elements for the value of this feature. While Jankowski et al [31], after a double foliar application with boron, increased the protein content in seeds by an average of 8.8 g•kg −1 of d.m.…”
