Reactive polymers on the basis of functional peroxides

Abstract: The copolymerization constants of new monomer containing ditertiary peroxide groups with styrene have been determined. The peroxide monomers were prepared by the acylation of 3‐(tert‐butylperoxy)‐3‐methyl‐1‐butanol with methacryloyl chloride or maleic anhydride in the presence of tertiary amines. Peroxide containing copolymers were obtained by copolymerization of peroxyalkyl methacrylate and peroxyalkyl maleate with styrene.
