Recarga de aquífero aluvial sob uso agrícola

Abstract: The core in the exploitation of groundwater is its renewal, which is not usually performed in the same proportion of the abstraction. This may result in an exploration of parts of the permanent reserves of the aquifer, with the risk of severe depletion, when the abstraction is not properly monitored. This study aims to estimate the groundwater recharge in the rural area of Pesqueira (PE) from 2002 to 2011. Alluvial aquifers are strategic for communal farming in the Brazilian semiarid. The methodology used was … Show more

“…Figure 4 shows the temporal mapping of groundwater levels ( Figure 4A, B and C) and the average map of the monthly means levels for stable piezometers ( Figure 4D). The maps present annual ranges, point out wet and dry years, and the months in which the influence of rainfall was stronger for recharge (ALBUQUERQUE et al, 2015). The map for means values represents well the dry periods in red, for 2003 and 2013, highlighting the droughts seasonality in the region ( Figure 4I).…”

“…Mimoso alluvial valley in the Northeast semiarid has been intensively instrumented (MONTENEGRO, 1997), monitored and studied for groundwater recharging mechanisms (ALBUQUERQUE et al, 2015), groundwater spatial distribution (FONTES JÚNIOR et al, 2012;MONTENEGRO;, soil salinity spatial variation (MONTENEGRO et al, 2010), for agricultural support evaluation (SOUZA et al, 2011).…”

“…The CH_K2 channel parameter relates to alluvial regions with the river section (Albuquerque et al, 2015) and CH_N2 at the low water flow velocity on the subbasin surfaces and in the main channel (Du et al, 2013). Indeed, in the semi-arid basins, shallow soils predominate, with underlying crystalline basement.…”

“…The main point in the exploitation of groundwaters lies in the renewal of this resource, which does not occur at the same rate of extraction. This may result in the exploitation of parts of the permanent reserves of the aquifer with risk of exhaustion, when the withdrawal is not properly monitored (ALBUQUERQUE et al, 2015).…”
