Leisure time is a social phenomenon, to whom increasing attention is being paid today. In this article are presented the results of the empirical research, which had for a goal understanding how today's leisure time is spent, in order to introduce possible improvements and improve students ways of spending leisure and make them more quality. The sample included 120 examinees, 85 women and 35 males. For the purposes of this research, a descriptive and survey method were used. The results obtained indicate that in students leisure time passive activities are the most common. Leisure time activities, like sport, cultural and artistic activities, reading books are not as much present in examinees' leisure time. Analysis of the obtained data it comes to the conclusion that students don't spend leisure time in a healthy, creative and quality way. Improving students' leisure time, social institutions should pay considerable attention organizing seminars, workshops and tribunes, with a goal of pointing out the importance of leisure time to the development of an individual.
