This article is the result of an investigation into the factors that may possibly contribute to triggering generalized anxiety disorder in students during the completion of the Course Completion Work (CBT). This is a descriptive field research with a narrative approach, with the application of a questionnaire containing 16 questions, prepared through Google Forms, which involved 51 students of the Administration course at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus de Aquidauana (UFMS-CPAQ). The main objective was to analyze what are the factors that can trigger the anxiety disorder in academics of the UFMS-CPAQ Administration course in the phase of completion of the writing of the TCC. The specific objectives were: to analyze the feelings reported by the students of the Administration course during the TCC as an experience attributed or not to anxiety; to verify how the transition from undesirable feelings of anxiety is related to the development of CBT and to identify in the literature how to manage anxiety levels in the academic journey. The results showed that most students had symptoms of anxiety, mainly related to excessive concern about not being able to complete their studies, fear of failing, not being able to present themselves to the bank and not being able to write in time. It is concluded that although anxiety is not such a bad thing, when it becomes a recurring event that causes disproportionate concern it is a warning sign of a disorder in the individual's mental health.
