Abstract:The paper discusses issues and challenges marring the regional implementation of the United Nations Global Counterterrorism Strategy in West Africa. It highlights economic, technology and socio-political factors that hinders the effective implementation of the strategy in the subregion which has become the hotbed of global terrorism.
