“…Incorporation of FHB resistance from the major exotic source, Sumai 3, and its derivatives has not been very successful in soft red winter wheat breeding programs due to linkage drag and persistence of unfavorable traits in derived lines. Adapted SRW wheat cultivars possessing moderate levels of native FHB resistance include Ernie, Truman, Bess, Massey, Roane, Tribute, Jamestown, Freedom, and Goldfield (McKendry et al, 1995, 2005, 2007; Starling et al, 1984; Griffey et al, 2001, 2005a, 2010; Gooding et al, 1997; Ohm et al, 2000).
