“…In the fourth multiplet ( 3 P 1 ) 5d[3]-( 3 P 2 ) 4f [4] • , there is a considerable difference between the widths of the two lines, as well as between their shifts, even though both lines have a blueshift. Fifth multiplet ( 3 P 2 ) 6p [3] • -( 3 P 2 ) 6d [3] also shows irregular behaviour for both widths and shifts, but not as emphasized as in previous cases.…”

“…In papers [1,2], Wiese and Konjević established three types of regularities or systematic behaviour of Stark parameters: (i) regularities within a spectrum, which are either systematic trends along spectral series for atoms and ions of simple structure or similarities within multiplets, supermultiplets and transition arrays for emitters with more complex spectra, (ii) similarities for analogous transitions of homologous atoms and ions and (iii) systematic trends for a fixed transition of ions within an isoelectronic sequence. There were also attempts to find other kinds of regularities, such as [3] and references therein.…”

“…This method to quickly estimate Stark broadening parameters, is mainly elaborated in Serbia (see e.g. [26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33]). The aim of such studies is to find out how regularities and systematic trends can be used to predict line widths and to critically evaluate experimental data.…”

“…If one takes into account the simplicity of this method, the agreement is good for the width and within the error bars for the shift. On the basis of examination of systematic trends (Purić et al 1985(Purić et al , 1987(Purić et al , 1991(Purić et al , 1993Purić 1996), dependencies enabling the estimation of the Stark widths of spectral lines due to s-p and p-s transitions of neutral atoms have been found by Sarandaev et al (2000). These simple relations, based on the known ionization potential of the lower/upper level of the corresponding transitions and on the regularities and systematic trends, have been used to determine Stark widths for Ge I 4p 2 1 S-5s 1 P 0 and 4p 2 1 S-5s 3 P 0 transitions.…”
