Regulation von Schlüsselenzymen der Biosynthese aromatischer Aminosäuren in Alkaloid‐bildenden Kulturen von Penicillium cyclopium w.

Abstract: In Penicdlium cyclopium w., phenylalanin and anthranilate are precursors of the benzodiazepine alkaloids cyclopenin and cyclopenol. The onset and increase of alkaloid biosynthesis in emerged cultures was paralleled by an increase of the in vitro activities of the precursor synthesizing enzymes DAHP synthase'), chorismate mutase, and anthranilate synthase as well as tryptophan synthase. This increase was most pronounced with the DAHP synthase and, therefore, enabled the cells to maintain a constant level of the… Show more

“…This method of preferential extraction is, in principle, valuable for the solubilization of other microbial membrane enzymes which can only be solubilized under conditions which disrupt the integrity of the membrane as a whole and may be applied to improve the elucidation of regulation of enzymes involved in metabolic pathways which were partly performed in crude protein extracts (e.g. SCHMAUDER andRoos 1987, STRAUBE 1987).…”
