“…This scarcity of research may be due to the recent nature of the studies in the area because this fi eld was offi cially "born" in the late 1990s and early 2000s. As Positive Psychology is a current that emerged in the United States, its impact on the Brazilian scene is still slight compared to European countries but has found fertile ground in Brazil for the production of scientifi c knowledge, especially starting in the year 2000 (Albuquerque & Tróccoli, 2004;Camargo, Abadi, & Giacomoni, 2011;Giacomoni & Hutz, 2008;Lemos & Cavalcante, 2009;Paludo & Koller, 2007;Paschoal & Tamayo, 2008;Passareli & Silva, 2007;Prati & Koller, 2011;Rodrigues & Da Silva, 2010;Yunes, 2003). In recent surveys (Scorsolini-Comin & Santos, 20092011a, 2011b, 2012, it was noted that the Brazilian level of research still contrasts with the abundance of European and North-American studies (Barros, Martín, & Pinto, 2010;Delle Fave, 2006;Larrauri, 2006;Park & Peterson, 2007;Pérez, 2009;Peterson & Seligman, 2003;Seligman, 2002Seligman, , 2004Seligman, , 2011Snyder & Lopez, 2009 & Yunes, 2006) can be highlighted as important milestones of the movement in the national context.…”
