19Relationship between physiological characteristics of soccer players' efforts and physical, technical and tactical performance in conceptual games ABSTRACT Conceptual Games is a training proposal to develop physical aspects respecting the complexity inherent to football. Our goal in this study was to investigate the physiological responses resulting from the two conceptual games (1. Maintenance of ball possession and 2. Progression to the target), and its relation to other games components and laboratory performance of aerobic capacity. 16 athletes separated in two teams, played each other in game 1 and game 2. Positive relationships were found between distance traveled at different intensities, number of recovered balls and number of finalizations. Negative relationship between aerobic capacity and distance traveled at high intensity was found. The data showed relevant relations between the different components of soccer player's performance. Thus, it is important that coaches who adopt this method perceive the relationships between these components.
