People who are visually impaired find it is challenging to temporarily store their precious or personal belongings to keep them safe. To improve their quality of life, visually impaired individuals need a storage locker equipped with assistive technology where they may store their valuables or personal items while they are at home or on the go. The voice-activated storage locker for the visually impaired individuals that is proposed in this study involve a voice recognition module, voice playback, a micro servo motor, and a braille keypad. With these integrated features, it will be easier for visually impaired individuals to operate the storage locker, which will boost its efficacy. A rotating mechanism would be activated by an electronic system built within the lock employing a servo motor. To make them easier for those with visual impairments to operate, standard storage locker types have been upgraded to include digital voice control. The results of a test conducted on 20 people with visual impairments showed that accurate passwords spoken by the user could lock and open the storage locker with an accuracy of up to 95%.

Home Automation Systems are sets of interconnected devices for controlling various functions within a house, such as lighting, heating, air conditioning etc. Mobile devices are suitable for offering a user interface in a Home Automation System because of their portability and diverse capabilities. Wireless Home Automation has been a positive inspiration for new construction as it is easier and effective to use. This Project Report presents the implementation of the wireless technology for controlling the Home Utilities, Home Security System with specific features and door lock system by using scanning technique. In this system, with the help of app, we can control Home Utilities wirelessly that intelligently communicate with one another through a wireless device. In addition, that we have installed motion and gas detector for security purpose with special features like notifying the owner with message and beeping the buzzer. Lastly, we are also installing door lock system for better security using fingerprint that will allow only authorized user to access the home.

Over the past decade, the concept of smart cities has become very popular thanks to the Internet of Things (IoT) development and expansion for increasing the reliability of building the infrastructure of cities. The continuous increase of vehicles in the streets with the lack of car parking is becoming a problem in most urban cities. Therefore, the demand for smart car parking systems is increased for helping drivers to find a suitable car space quickly. This paper presents a smart parking system using infrared and ultrasonic sensors, which is controlled by Arduino Mega 2560. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader provides authorization to enter the smart parking system. On the other hand, a mobile application is added to allows users to know about the empty spaces based via WiFi application. This smart parking system is implementing in a small-scale model, and the results show that simulates the car parking with the mobile application, all the sensors, and the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen display, to describe a view of the system architecture.
