It has been studied as a coagulant for removal of pollutants, such as AsO 3À 4 [20], H 2 S [21], NO À 3 [22], PO 3À 4 , Cu 2+ [23], Zn 2+ , Ni 2+ , and CrO 2À 4 [24] from aqueous solution, for it is mainly composed of fine-grained particles containing aluminum oxide, iron oxide, silica, titanium oxides, and hydroxides.
