“…The energy-dispersive system (EDS, Figure S12) revealed that Hg was uniformly distributed on UiO-66-NH 2 @AuNCs/ZIF-8 after adsorption, confirming the successful loading of Hg 2+ . Upon the adsorption of Hg 2+ , the characteristic peak at 756 cm –1 which corresponded to the N–H wagging bandweakened markedly, which was attributed to the coordination of N in UiO-66-NH 2 and Hg 2+ (Figure A). ,, Additionally, the C–N stretching on the imidazole rings, corresponding to the peak at 1142 cm –1 , also weakened, which was because of the coordination of N in ZIF-8 and Hg 2+ . , The UiO-66-NH 2 @AuNCs/ZIF-8 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data were also analyzed before and after the adsorption of Hg 2+ . As shown in Figure B, two new peaks, corresponding to Hg 4f 5/2 and Hg 4f 7/2 , respectively, were observed in the Hg 4f spectrum of UiO-66-NH 2 @AuNCs/ZIF-8-Hg 2+ , confirming the successful uptake of Hg 2+ .…”
