Removal of Sand Control Screens and Bottom Hole Assembly in Cased Hole Gravel Packed Wells in Chad, Africa

Abstract: The fields operated by Esso Exploration and Production Chad Inc. (EEPCI) in a consortium project with PETRONAS and Chevron in Central Africa, target highly unconsolidated sandstone formations. Sand control equipment must be utilized to prevent production of sand resulting in failure of downhole and surface equipment.
