Removal of Toxic Metal Ions from Water Using Chelating Terpolymer Resin as a Function of Different Concentration Time and pH

Abstract: Terpolymer resin 4-ASAUF was synthesized by the condensation of 4-aminosalicylic acid (4-ASA) and urea (U) with formaldehyde (F) in the presence of 2 N hydrochloric acid. The structure of the resin was characterized by various spectral techniques like infrared (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (1H and 13C-NMR) spectroscopy. The empirical formula and empirical weight of the resin were determined by elemental analysis. The physiochemical properties of terpolymer resin were determined. The morphological featu… Show more

“…To avoid toxicity, an alternative method is practiced in which amine ancestor is used for amination at 60 o C generally. The GO is used as ion exchanger because it having more number of -OH, -COOH groups similarly, various composite material which is synthesized from amino phenol compound having more ion-exchange capacity (16) (17) (18) (19). This amino functionalized graphene material also can be used as efficient cation exchangers.…”
