Abstract:One of the currently available approaches to the problem of the accelerated expansion of the Universe is based on cosmological models with various types of scalar fields. In this paper we consider a cosmological model based on the modified Jordan-Brans-Dicke (JBD) theory with a cosmological scalar ϕ(y) playing the role of the variable cosmological constant. Special cases are considered with ϕ(y) = αH 2 and ϕ(y) = αH 4 . In particular, we show the possibility of the expansion with uniform acceleration.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
