“…Even though an extensive body of research has observed the international media coverage of Islam, far less attention has been devoted to the media coverage of Sharia. Current studies on media and Sharia have been undertaken in Western media settings (Bowe and Hoewe 2016;Hoewe et al 2014;Korteweg 2008;Mora 2013;Possamai et al 2013Possamai et al , 2017.
