Research and Development of High Temperature Electrothermal Materials

Abstract: By summarizing the research and development status of electro-thermal materials, this thesis puts its focus on the types, preparation methods and applications of non-metallic high-temperature electrothermal materials, and the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of such electric heating elements as SiC, ZrO2, LaCrO3and MoSi2. At last, the gap and the main problems existing between researches made on high temperature electrothermic materials at home and abroad are pointed out, as well as the… Show more

“…The electric heating element is the most widely adopted in the heater of HNB, which refers to the technical application of transforming electric energy into heat energy through resistance. Electric heating elements generally are divided into metal (nickel‐based alloy, iron aluminum alloy, etc.,), non‐metal (SiC, MoSi 2 , ZrO 2 , LaCrO 3 , etc.,), and others (PTC, thick film) heating elements 5–11 . The electric heating elements in HNB have volume effects, including size, shape, and application condition restrictions, which make the resistivity and strength of the current electric heating materials unsuitable.…”

“…Electric heating elements generally are divided into metal (nickel-based alloy, iron aluminum alloy, etc.,), non-metal (SiC, MoSi 2 , ZrO 2 , LaCrO 3 , etc.,), and others (PTC, thick film) heating elements. [5][6][7][8][9][10][11] The electric heating elements in HNB have volume effects, including size, shape, and application condition restrictions, which make the resistivity and strength of the current electric heating materials unsuitable. Consequently, there is an urgent need to synthesize a new heating element composite material that exhibits suitable mechanical and electrical properties, while also meeting the specific requirements of the heating element.…”

“…The manufacturing technology of blisk is one of the important manifestations of integral structure for the advanced aero-engine. Blisk is a core component for the new generation of aero-engine to achieve structural innovation and technological leap, which has the advantages of losing weight, increasing efficiency and improving reliability [1][2][3] .…”
