Research of Limited and Unlimited Emission Effect on the Environment During the Burning of Alternative Fuels in Agricultural Tractors

Abstract: This work is aimed at the basic analysis of diesel oil and rapeseed methyl ester and evaluation of limited and unlimited emission produced by their combustion. Thereafter, test results are compared, and there is also done the evaluation of emissiongreenhouse gases, dangerous exhaust gases and strong carcinogens and their contents during fuel combustion. These measurements were performed at the Research Station Agroscope ART in Tänikon (AAT) in Switzerland and in cooperation with the

“…Corrected absorption coefficient is a value determined by the manufacturer and it is used for determining the maximum permissible value of smoke D MAX . The formula for calculating D MAX is the sum of corrected absorption coefficient and constant which is determined by guidance for the performance of emission control to the value of 0.5 m -1 [6,7].…”

“…Within the EU, emission limits are constantly monitored and newer emission standards are being implemented (Euro 6). Stricter emission limits are designed to minimize air pollution and thus there are greater environmental requirements on operation of diesel engines [1]. Due to stricter limits, current research and development of new diesel engines are oriented towards the increase of engine power per unit volume of the cylinder, towards the increase of engine efficiency and towards the reduction of energy consumption.…”
