Research on a New Adaptive Integral Sliding Mode Controller Based on a Small BLDC

Abstract: A new adaptive saturation Integral Sliding Mode Controller (ADSA-ISMC) is presented to solve the speed fluctuation problem caused by a small brushless DC motor (S-BLDC) under variable load. First, according to the characteristics of S-BLDC and Kalman filter, a Kalman-based S-BLDC load disturbance observer is established, and an adaptive integrated sliding mode controller (AD-ISMC) is constructed based on the motor load obtained by the observer. Then, we introduce the saturation function into the input error li… Show more

“…It is usually applied to the speed outer loop and sliding mode observer (SMO) in sensorless control systems [50][51][52][53][54]. In addition, SMC has demonstrated successfully applied in various fields, such as induction motors [55][56][57][58], switched reluctance motors [59][60][61][62], and brushless DC motors [63][64][65], etc., under its remarkable features of high precision and ease of use. Improving the control performance of PMSM requires not only optimizing the motor design [66], but also improving the control algorithm [67][68][69].…”
