This study introduces a novel Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-mounted (UAV-mounted) Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV) system for detecting debonding damage in Hidden Frame-Supported Glass Curtain Walls (HFSGCW). The established system enables UAVs to transport the LDV to high altitudes for operation. The vibration signals acquired by the UAV-LDV system are decomposed into different energy bands by wavelet packet analysis, and then the occurrence and location of the damage are identified by the Sum of Squared Differences (SSD) of the wavelet packet bands’ energy. This paper investigates the potential factors affecting the performance of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-Laser Doppler Vibrometer (UAV-LDV) system, including the arrangement of measuring points, measuring distance, noise level, and wind speed through the first-order natural frequency, the normalized frequency response functions, and the SSD indicator. Experimental and simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the UAV-LDV system, highlighting its advantages over traditional methods by offering remote, non-contact, and efficient debonding detection. This method not only indicates the presence of the damage, as traditional indicators do, but also pinpoints the exact location of it, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness in high-rise inspections. The proposed method and indicator offer advantages in terms of convenience, visualization, and efficiency. The study discusses the impact of measurement point arrangement, measuring distance, noise levels, and wind speed on the system’s performance. The findings demonstrate that while the UAV-LDV system introduces new capabilities in rapid and reliable structural damage assessment, operational challenges such as wind and noise levels significantly influence its accuracy.

The environmental temperature and humidity are crucial factors for the normal growth and development of arbor tree cuttings by altering their hormone levels and influencing their physiological activities. Developing a temperature and humidity environmental model for arbor tree cuttings serves as a key technique to improve the adjustment performance of environmental parameters in facility agriculture systems and enhance the rooting rate of cuttings. This paper provides a comprehensive summary of current research on the inherent characteristics of cuttings and the factors influencing environmental temperature and humidity. It explores the mechanisms of interaction between the inherent characteristics of cuttings and the factors influencing environmental temperature and humidity. This paper investigates the interactive relationships among the factors affecting environmental temperature and humidity. It analyzes methods to improve the efficiency of constructing temperature and humidity environmental models for arbor tree cuttings. To enhance the transferability of the environmental model, the necessary physiological activities under the influence of plant hormones are generalized as common physiological traits in the growth and development of cuttings. In addition, this paper explores the factors influencing the air and substrate temperature and the humidity in facility agriculture systems as well as two types of facilities for controlling environmental temperature and humidity. Furthermore, it reviews the research progress in environmental models from both mechanistic and data-driven perspectives. This paper provides a comparative analysis of the characteristics associated with these two model categories. Building upon this, the paper summarizes and discusses methods employed in constructing temperature and humidity environmental models for arbor tree cuttings. In addition, it also anticipates the application of deep learning techniques in the construction of temperature and humidity environmental models for arbor cuttings, including utilizing machine vision technology to monitor their growth status. Finally, it proposes suggestions for building physiological models of fruit tree-like arbor cuttings at different growth stages. To enhance the transferability of environmental models, the integration of physiological models of cuttings, environmental models, and control system performance are suggested to create an environmental identification model. This paper aims to achieve control of the common physiological activities of cuttings.

Co-Benefits Analysis of Coal De-Capacity in China

China is the world’s largest carbon emitter and coal de-capacity is a policy with immediate and substantial CO2 reduction effects. However, the carbon emission reduction and health co-benefits arising from the coal de-capacity are often ignored. Here, we assessed the carbon emission reductions and quantified the health co-benefits from coal de-capacity based on an analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of the mine closures and phase out during 2016–2022. Our findings show that China had closed/phased out a total of 4027 mines with a total de-capacity of 8.75 × 108 t, spatially concentrated in Southwest and North China from 2016 to 2022. The coal life cycle emitted 1859 million t of carbon during the coal de-capacity. Importantly, 11,775 premature deaths were avoided during 2016–2022 due to reduced PM2.5 exposure as a result of coal mining. This study highlights the significant effects of coal de-capacity on carbon reduction and health co-benefits in China and provides scientific evidence and data to support the achievement of the sustainable development goals and the ‘dual carbon goals’.
