Research on Engine-Pump Units Adaptability in the Plateau

Abstract: The efficiency of engine-pump units and fuel supply capacity are related closely, which drop strongly in the plateau. In order to find out the relationship between engine-pump units performance parameters and natural conditions in the plateau, this research dealt with the specific forms of engine-pump units efficiency descend, analyzed the influence factors of engine-pump units efficiency, found out the decline rules of engine-pump units power, emission and reliability. The result shows that atmospheric pressu… Show more

“…So we can use the ECID as an effective solution to deal with the inlet tempering and the loss of gaseous fuel during the scavenging stage [3,4]. Also the air-fuel ratio of the gas mixture can be regulated independently, real-time and accurately, in order to enhance the performance of the high-power gaseous fuel engine [5,6]. But it also brings a series of problems in urgent need of further study, such as the CFD analysis of the ECID as well as its impact on the movement of gas mixture.…”

“…Engine-pump unit is widely used to transport or fill the oil, when using in plateau, its efficiency declines [1]. It is caused by several reasons, the engine power decrease dues to the atmospheric pressure decline; the pump performance reduces because of the pump suction capacity decrease and the input power reduction.…”

“…The centrifugal pump has the advantages of high delivery pressure and large flow, and so it is widely used in oil transportation, accounting for about 70%-80% of the total pumps [1]. Good hydraulic characteristics are of great significance to ensure reliable fluid transfer [2].…”
