Research Progress on High‐Intermediate Frequency Extension Methods of SEA

Abstract: Statistical energy analysis (SEA) can accurately describe the average vibration characteristics through system energy flow and transmission feedback. It is a powerful tool to solve the problem of high-frequency acoustics-vibration. SEA is widely used in vehicles, ships, aviation, and other transportation engineering fields. However, the expansion of SEA, based on the assumption of modal equipartition and weak coupling, is limited to the intermediate frequency. Although the SEA basic theory can be extended by r… Show more

“…A total of 27% of the reviews are about signal processing methods in vibration measurement and mathematical tools for vibration measurement or vibration analysis. The main topics in this area are enhanced fast Fourier transform [16], free and forced vibration analysis of structures with cyclic symmetry [17], wavelet for fault diagnosis [18], finite element analyses [19], and statistical energy analysis in high-intermediate frequency acoustics vibration problems [20]. A total of 13% of works are about vibration control or noise control, and 10% of reviews consider the design as one of their topics.…”

“…The results showed that SEA can obtain statistical results quickly and conveniently and has a good reference for noise analysis. Su et al [13] pointed out that experimental statistical energy analysis, finite element statistical energy analysis, statistical modal energy distribution analysis, and waveguide analysis in SEA are powerful tools for solving the problem of high-frequency acoustic vibration. Hugues et al [14] proposed a new trade-off diagram for the design of multi-layer acoustic packages.…”
