Introduction: Gen Z has started to enter the portals of nursing classrooms. They are technology and socially-savvy consumers who grew up in the world of internet and smartphones. However, little is known about this generation, particularly among nursing students and how they use Facebook for academic purposes. The purpose of this study was to determine nursing students’ usage, perception, and satisfaction with Facebook for educational purposes Methods:A descriptive, cross-sectional research design was used. A total of 113 conveniently chosen nursing students in a Nursing College in the Philippines participated in the survey. Data were collected using an adopted questionnaire administered via online survey. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used to analyze the data. Results: Results indicated that majority of nursing students moderately (M=3.58) use Facebook for educational purposes to communicate, collaborate, and share academic or learning materials. They generallyhad a good perception of (M=4.36) and were highly satisfied (Mean=3.95) with using Facebook for educational purposes. The main challenge reported by 81.42% of nursing students in the use of Facebook was distraction from other Facebook contents. There was a significant positive relationship between usage and perception (p=.000) likewise between satisfaction and recommendation in the use of Facebook for educational purposes (p=.000). Conclusions:While Facebook showcases promising potential as a learning tool, challenges associated with its use in nursingeducation must be properly addressed. Careful consideration and thoughtful planning are necessary for nursing schools to maximize the advantages of Facebook as a supplemental tool for learning.

The purpose of this research was to develop e-learning media for ESP learning of English for Nursing Students. The development of English for specific needs has rapidly increased as the demand for tailor-made language learning raised. Following the current trend of industrial revolution 4.0, the need of ESP e-learning media is critically necessary. The study used Research & Development (R&D) model. There are some stages in R&D model namely (1) Research and Information Collecting, (2) Planning, (3) Developing Preliminary Form of Product, (4) Preliminary Field Testing, (5) Main Product Revision, (6) Main Field Testing, (7) Operational Product Revision, (8) Operational Field Testing, (9) Final Product Revision and (10) Dissemination and Implementation. However, due to the limitation of the study, only five stages were conducted. 4 th industrial revolution Products of IR 4.0 Technologies of IR 4.0 Learning opportunitiesThe current study falls in line with the contemporary effort aiming towards raising societal awareness about the impacts of the 4 th Industrial Revolution IR 4.0 in education. The study aimed to reveal the effects of IR 4.0 products such as the internet of things, cloud computing, big data, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Blockchain and robots on the educational variables: control learning, learning opportunities, Instructional activities, and social implications. To achieve the aim, a questionnaire of 30 items was applied to 77 pre-service science teachers as a pilot sample at Sohar University in Sultanate of Oman in the academic year 2019/2020. Findings showed variations in the pre-service science teachers' perceptions about the implications of IR 4.0 on education. They believed that block-chain, Cloud Computing, and cybersecurity will be used in a wide range in the future to improve learning opportunities and keep students' activities for a long time. On the other hand, they referred that the teaching-learning processes will occur without values and with the low level of student-teachers interactions. Also, they predicted that robots and machines will work instead of humans even in educational jobs in the future. According to the findings, the study suggested implementing significant transformations in instructional programs, curricula, learning environment, liquid instructional skills, and teachers-students' roles to deal with IR 4.0 technologies and products.
