Residue Analysis of 60 Pesticides in Red Swamp Crayfish Using QuEChERS with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract: In this study, a multi-residue analytical method using quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) extraction and dispersive solid-phase extraction (d-SPE) cleanup, followed by high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS), was investigated for rapid determination of 60 pesticide residues in whole crayfish and crayfish meat. The final method used 10 mL of acetonitrile for extraction, 3 g of NaCl for partitioning, and 50 mg of primary secondary amine for d-SPE clean… Show more

“…At present, compared with developed countries, developing countries' technology and means of detecting pesticide residues and harmful substances in EPOs remain slightly inferior. Recently, a new method, the quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEchERS) procedure using high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS), has been applied in the detection of pesticide residues (Song et al, 2018). This method is simple, fast, effective, and has good purification effect (Deng et al, 2018).…”

“…However, these sample preparation methods are complicated and use larger amounts of organic solvents 21,22 . In recent years, the QuEChERS methodology has been develpoed as a very popular method to determine pesticide residues in all kinds of food matrices [23][24][25][26][27][28][29] . And there are some papers that applied QuEChERS for the extraction of pesticides from mushrooms and determination of residue used GC, GC-MS/MS 30,31 , or LC-MS/MS 10,11 .…”

“…Gas/liquid chromatography (GC/LC) and gas/liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/LC-MS) methods are mainly used for determination of difenoconazole [10][11][12][13]. Besides being accurate, these methods are timeconsuming due to complex processes involved, and thus, a large number of samples need to be stored for analysis.…”
