Resonant nuclear reaction 23 Mg (p, γ ) 24 Al in strongly screening magnetized neutron star crust

Abstract: Based on the relativistic theory of superstrong magnetic field (SMF), by using three models of Lai (LD), Fushiki (FGP), and ours (LJ), we investigate the influence of SMFs due to strong electron screening (SES) on the nuclear reaction 23 Mg (p, γ) 24 Al in magnetars. At relatively low density environment (e.g., ρ 7 < 0.01) and 1 < B 12 < 10 2 , our screening rates are in good agreement with those of LD and FGP. However, in relatively high magnetic fields (e.g., B 12 > 10 2 ), our reaction rates can be 1.58 t… Show more

“…Issues related to MMs are forefront subjects in astrophysics (e.g., Detrixhe et al 2011;Rajantie 2012;Fujii & Pierre 2015;Frank et al 2019;Kain 2019). We studied the problem of MMs and other related issues (e.g., Peng et al 2017Peng et al , 2020Liu 2013Liu , 2014Liu & Gu 2016a;Liu & Liu 2017c, 2018aLiu 2016b;Liu & Liu 2016c;Liu 2016d;Liu et al 2017aLiu et al , 2017bLiu & Liu 2018b). Some scholars also discussed other energy mechanisms of WDs, such as magnetic field evolution, the state equation of the WDs and related issues (e.g., Deng et al 2020Deng et al , 2021Li et al 2016;Fu et al 2020;Gao et al 2016Gao et al , 2017Gao et al , 2019Gao et al , 2023Dong et al 2023;Wang et al 2020;Yan et al 2021;Zhu et al 2016).…”
