Responsabilidade social de um grande banco de varejo brasileiro

Abstract

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF A LARGE BRAZILIAN RETAIL BANK ABSTRACTThis paper presents the position of the Bank of Brazil against the issue of social responsibility. The Social and Sustainability Report is used as a tool of analysis since it was created in order to demonstrate the performance of companies in the social standpoint. The research design appears as descriptive as it has the characteristics of information shown by the financial institution balance sheets Social object of study. For data collection were selected seven indicators of Social Balances Bank of Brazil SA, for the period 1997 to 2006. The results show an increase in social investments, both in projects to fight hunger and provide benefits to employees. The advances made in studies of fruit denote be awareness of people's need to search for a sustainable growth that allows social inclusion and increased opportunities for all.
