Response Measurement of Gd2Si2O7:Ce Scintillator for Alpha Particles

Abstract: KK0"Gzrgtkogpvcn 30"Et{uvcn"Itqyvj" Raw materials were powders of Gd 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , and CeO 2 with 4N purity. These were weighed and mixed at compositions of (Gd 1-x Ce x) 2 Si 2 O 7 (x=0.010, 0.025, 0.10). Amounts of SiO 2 in raw materials were slightly larger than those necessary for stoichiometry to obtain silica-rich conditions.
