Analysis of bead geometry is very important in product design and manufacturing. Defect-free products with reliability are the demanding parameter in the manufacturing Industry. In this study, we have analyzed and optimized bead geometry parameters such as height of reinforcement (HOR), depth of Heat Affected Zone (DOH), and width of Heat Affected Zone (WOH) by using Central Composite Design (CCD) of response surface methodology (RSM). In this study, peak current and pulse frequency are the most important process parameters for HOR and the optimum combination obtained are (160 A, 80 A, 100 Hz, and 45%) further HOR at this optimum was found to be 1.41 mm, which is close to 1.45 mm. Similarly, peak current and pulse frequency are the most important process parameter for WOH and the optimum combination obtained are (160 A, 80 A, 150 Hz, and 45%) further WOH at this optimum was found to be 1.32 mm, which is close to 1.37 mm. Again, similarly peak current and pulse frequency are the most important process parameter for DOH and the optimum combination obtained are (160 A, 80 A, 100 Hz, and 45%) further DOH at this optimum was found to be 1.26 mm which is close to 1.58 mm.

Several chemical and biological processes have been investigated and predicted using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) models. Response Surfaces Methodology is a useful instrument for designing laboratory-scale experiments that optimize and support the research outcomes with statistical analysis. It is a powerful statistical technique for complex variable study systems. The standard optimization (one component at a time) strategy is well-studied. However, it has significant drawbacks, such as requiring more experimental runs and time and failing to reveal the synergistic impact of processing parameters. It is a valuable instrument for process improvement. Recent research has shown, for instance, that RSM successfully optimizes biodiesel in fats and oils generated from diverse feedstocks. According to this study, Response Surface Methodology is the best cost-effective technique for maximizing environmentally friendly and sustainable methods applied to different experimental procedures. The current review reported RSM's application, theory, methodology, advantages, and limitations for different processes using different oil sources.

The development of effective methods to utilize industrial and agricultural wastes is crucial from the perspective of a circular economy. Marble powder and olive pomace (OP), byproducts of olive oil production and marble processing, are considered one of the major sources causing severe environmental pollution, especially in Mediterranean countries. Herein, marble powder and OP are aimed to use as fillers in polypropylene (PP)‐based polymer composite. In addition, fractionated OP is further fibrillated by a combination of mechanical grinding and ionic liquid treatment to enhance its performance as a reinforcement. After treatment for 24 h, the particle size decreases from about 2.1 to 1.1 µm, and the lignocellulosic composition also varies due to the partial removal of hemicellulose. Finally, the compounding ratio of polymer composites consisting of PP, marble powder, fibrillated OP, and compatibilizer is optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) to achieve both high mechanical properties and high filler contents. Mechanical properties of polymer composite fabricated with optimum ratio are in excellent agreement with those predicted by RSM. Furthermore, the yield strength and Young's modulus of polymer composite are 33.9 MPa and 1.89 GPa, accordingly, which are higher than those of PP.
