An increase in users’ online searches, the social concern for an efficient management of resources such as water, and the appearance of more and more digital platforms for sustainable purposes to conduct online searches lead us to reflect more on the users’ behavioral intention with respect to search engines that support sustainable projects like water management projects. Another issue to consider is the factors that determine the adoption of such search engines. In the present study, we aim to identify the factors that determine the intention to adopt a search engine, such as Lilo, that favors sustainable water management. To this end, a model based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is proposed. The methodology used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS). The results demonstrate that individuals who intend to use a search engine are influenced by hedonic motivations, which drive their feeling of contentment with the search. Similarly, the success of search engines is found to be closely related to the ability a search engine grants to its users to generate a social or environmental impact, rather than users’ trust in what they do or in their results. However, according to our results, habit is also an important factor that has both a direct and an indirect impact on users’ behavioral intention to adopt different search engines.

Massive amounts of data from different contexts and producers are collected and connected relying often solely on statistical techniques. Problems to the acclaimed value of data lie in the precise definition of data and associated contexts as well as the problem that data are not always published in meaningful and open ways. The Linked Data paradigm offers a solution to the limitations of simple keywords by having unique, resolvable and shared identifiers instead of strings This paper reports on a three-year research project "Digging Into the Knowledge Graph," funded as part of the 2016 Round Four Digging Into Data Challenge (https://diggingintodata.org/awards/2016/project/diggingknowledge-graph). Our project involves comparing terminol-ogy employed within the LOD cloud with terminology employed within two general but different KOSs -Universal Decimal Classification and Basic Concepts Classification. We are exploring whether these classifications can encourage greater consistency in LOD terminology and linking the largely distinct scholarly literatures that address LOD and KOSs. Our project is an attempt to connect the Linked Open Data community, which has tended to be centered in computer science, and the KO community, with members from linguistics, metaphysics, library and information science. We focus on the shared challenges related to Big Data between both communities.

Por medio de esta revisión, se busca realizar un recuento y una explicación sobre el entorno de intercambio bibliográfico BibFrame a partir del conocimiento que ha sido diseminado, en su mayor parte, por un grupo de profesionales de la Biblioteca del Congreso de los Estados Unidos de América. En este trabajo, se muestran aspectos clave de esta iniciativa en y se enfocan cuestiones medulares de su funcionamiento como entorno ubicado en la web. Se discute su posible normalización partiendo del traslado de MARC21 a esta herramienta. This review aims to report on and explain the bibliographic exchange environment BibFrame taking as starting point the knowledge that has been disseminated, mainly, by a group of professionals from the Library Of Congress of the United States of America. This work shows key aspects of this initiative and focus on medular points regarding its functioning as a web environment. The work discusses the possible standardization of this environment, starting with transferring from MARC21 to this tool. Históricamente los modelos de datos han tenido tensiones en cuanto a su desempeño y funcionalidad práctica en las bibliotecas y unidades de información a nivel mundial. La modernización de plataformas e infraestructuras tecnológicas han propiciado avances en la organización de la información y el conocimiento que han superado los modelos tradicionales de catalogación bibliográfica. RecibidoDesde los años sesenta, los estándares mayoritariamente utilizados en las bibliotecas alrededor del mundo han cimentado su organización mediante el formato MARC, que ha protagonizado la práctica catalográfica como ente rector para la descripción y el tratamiento bibliográfico. Más aún, su sucesión ha sido objeto de debate desde distintas ópticas profesionales en donde se habló hasta de la muerte de este estándar (Tennant, 2002).A raíz de esto, surge la necesidad de innovar los procedimientos descripción y recuperación de información en los procesos de catalogación; mediante plataformas que facilitan las nuevas tecnologías basadas en internet. Así nace una alternativa que dice ser el reemplazo de MARC a largo plazo mediante un modelo de datos interconectado (Kroeger, 2013), llamado Bibliographic Framework, iniciado por la Biblioteca del Congreso de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica y comúnmente conocido como BibFrame.BibFrame, según su equipo creador, es una iniciativa que surge en el 2011; este proyecto se centra en los objetivos de reimaginar y en gran escala implementar un nuevo ambiente bibliográfico para centros de información que utilizan redes y hacen de la interconexión un espacio común (Library of Congress, 2012).
