Reverse hydrophobic PDMS surface to hydrophilic by 1‐step hydrolysis reaction

Abstract: Hydrophilic modification on the surface of polymer polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) material is a key step for its application in biomaterial, bioengineering, and so on. In this article, a novel and effective method was proposed to reverse hydrophobic surface to hydrophilic by 1‐step hydrolysis of Si―O bond to produce hydrophilic hydroxyl group.
