“…Although many species of Psallops are saliently very similar, the genus has no definitive diagnostic character. Characters previously reported as diagnostic for Psallops are either labile with the genus or are shared with other mirid taxa (see Wolski & Henry for discussion). Therefore, we place the Australian species into Psallops based on the similarity with the described species and discuss the character systems important for the genus.…”

“…The head of Psallops is variable, though in general its representatives have large eyes, often nearly holoptic, and in many species, the vertex is shorter than the eye diameter (Lin ; Wolski & Henry ; Herczek et al . , ; Herczek et al .…”

“…The placement of Sulawesifulvius in the tribe Fulviini sensu Gorczyca (2000, 2006) was based on its horizontally elongated head and short antenna (Figs 1–7, 18–19, 22–24). Our examination revealed that Sulawesifulvius possesses the subdivided labial segment I which is shared by most genera currently placed in Fulviini (Wolski and Henry 2012, 2015; Wolski 2013; Wolski and Gorczyca 2014) but is not present in other tribes of Cylapinae, except for such rhinomirines as Rhinomiris Kirkaldy (Wolski and Henry 2015), Lundbladiola Carvalho, Pararhinomiris Gorczyca, Rhinomiridius Poppius, and Rhinomiriella Gorczyca (Wolski, pers. obs.).…”

“…Previously, the Neotropical genus Isometocoris Carvalho and Sailer had been considered the only New World representative of the subfamily Psallopinae (Henry and Maldonado 1982 ). In a forthcoming paper, however, Wolski and Henry ( 2015 ) document that Isometocoris is not a psallopine; thus, this subfamily is omitted from the key.…”

“…All mirid subfamilies represented in the Neotropics (considering all of Mexico, Central and South America, and the West Indies), except the Psallopinae (Wolski and Henry 2015 ). About 3,429 species and 561 genera are included in 25 tribes, representing 27 % of the world mirid fauna.…”
