Right‐Wing Movements (Latin America)

Abstract: Understanding right‐wing movements in Latin America begins with defining a full array of often ideologically distinct groups and their movement orientation. Three categories of right‐wing movements emerge from that analysis: countermovements, uncivil movements, and neoliberal movements. The political power and impact of such movements depends on the political opportunities behind their rise, and their development of effective framing, tactics, and strategies.
